Please be aware that people do not only have food allergies, but also have allergies to things that may be at your party. The most popular is latex (as in the balloons).
If you are inviting people that you do not know very well, you may want to put a note at the bottom of the RSVP asking for allergies (remember not just food, but all allergies). It would not be a good situation if you invite someone to the house that is allergic to cats when you have 2 roaming the house.
