A # of Activities (Keep Them Active)\
At a high school graduation party you are throwing a bunch of people that have worked for years to get where they are now, graduates. They want to let off steam, frustration, joy, and get down and PARTY. So, I recommend that you have many activities going on at the same time, that way as they are bouncing around the place celebrating with their friends that they have plenty to focus their energy on.

There were two very successful graduation parties that I attended while growing up. One was a friend of mine’s Chris (Class of ’90, Kennett), he had a pool and volleyball court. We all hung out in the back yard and had a blast. If I recall the party lasted 2-3 hours.

The other was mine (I know I am a little biased, but everyone that attended said they had so much fun so I am including it), I had a volleyball court in the back yard, A miniature pool table in the basement along with a TV and VCR for people to watch movies, the living room was available for people to talk, the TV room was available for people to watch cable or more movies, and last was the kitchen/dinning room which was where all the grub was. The party lasted for a good 8-10 hours. I asked my mom if it was hard to pull off (I was enjoying the party, not being a hostess) she said it didn’t take much more than other parties.

So, put the food out, have tons of activities that do not require a "hostess" and the guests will take care of themselves.
