My husband and I did this for our wedding back before there was an Internet.
Unfortunately we relied on my handwriting (which was awful at the time), but it still made waves.
We photocopied our engagement picture on the front of a booklet (8 1/2x11 parchment paper, folded in half).
We then took my barely legible handwriting and photocopied it to the inside of the booklet (my history on the left and his on the right).
It was great.
